Our Puppies
We are proud of our dogs and proud to share them with you. We breed
trying to improve the breed, bringing together quality dogs in hopes of
building on their strengths in the next generation. We are extremely
careful in selecting individuals who are compatible in phenotype and
genotype. All of our dogs are diligently health tested and those results
are made public. Dogs that do not meet those standards are not bred and
are removed from the gene pool (i.e. spayed or neutered).
What we are NOT doing is selling puppies over the Internet!
In every litter, we hope for a puppy or two of show quality. The
difference between pet and show potential puppies is usually something
as small as a dot of white in the "wrong" place. Their health and
temperament are no different. The guarantee against genetic disease is
the same. They are raised with the same care and concern. A "pet" puppy
is not a LESSER puppy.
As you might imagine, placing puppies we have taken such care to bring
into this world and raised so conscientiously to be healthy and happy
dogs is of great importance to us. If you are interested in adding a
KeelMtn Corgi to you family, please feel free to contact us. You may use
our Puppy Questionnaire to start off with if you like. The questions we ask
are not meant to be intrusive or judgmental. They are merely to help us
determine if a KeelMtn Corgi is right for you and your family. This is
but an initial step to lifelong relationship between and your dog.
Please, also, feel free to ask us any questions you might have.

Fall 2009 Pembroke litter
Chris x Cheery
Can you guess I like Tri-umph corgis? My first show dog came from Marian Johnson Your (now a trusted mentor and good friend), and my first owner- handled champion, as well as our Cheery-O, bred by the late Lucy Clem but who is mostly Tri-umph as well. How excited was I when Marian suggested we give her young Chris x Cheery a try? His health stats alone are something to be excited about - hips prelimed excellent, CERF and Vwd clear, fluff free, and N/N for degenerative myelopathy.
Chris and Cheery will be bred this fall. A nice line-breeding of Tri-umph with a healthy dose of the best of Tallyrand and Sandfox as
well, we expect exceptional movement and structure, maybe with a little Cheery "party girl" attitude thrown in? This combination should make for
some lovely and fun puppies. Depending on Cheery's schedule, puppies may arrive just prior to Christmas.

2010 Cardigan litter
PJ x Candy
We're excited to announce that Candy will be bred to Jinnie
Strickland (SOLSTICE) and Kathy Davis' outstanding boy PJ. Although an outcross, we're
hoping for a fantastic combination from these pedigrees. Best of all,
both have fabulous, sweet and loving, outgoing and happy temperaments.
Puppies will most likely be red, brindle, and possibly sable.
Ch. Mariel's Flying Spirit received 13 points and 3 majors out of the 6-9 puppy
class and finished up with his final points coming the 1st time in the 9-12 puppy class. He began his show career at 6 months and 2 days
old at the Bluebonnet CWC Specialty in conjunction with Reliant Center
Dog Shows in Houston, Texas where Breeder Judge Steve Gladstone awarded
PJ Winner's Dog and Best Puppy for a 5 point major. After his debut in
Houston he went to 3 more show weekends with Jinnie where he was awarded
an additional 8 points. That included 3 BOB wins (2 of which were
majors) and a Best Puppy and Puppy Group 2 all from the 6-9 puppy
class. His final 2 points were awarded in Tulsa where he was shown by
his Co-Owner Kathy Davis of Dwysan where he was WD/BOW/BOS to finish his
Championship.

A note: Although we mention what colors puppies may be, to us, color is
the least of our concerns. Type, structure, health, and temperament are FAR more important!
